NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame track and field squads will host the Alex Wilson Invitational, one of the final “last chance” meets in the country, this weekend at the Loftus Sports Center.
The event kicks off Friday evening with the men’s long jump at 5 p.m. Running events are set to begin at 7 p.m.
The men’s triple jump will start Saturday’s event at 10:30 a.m., with the women’s 60-meter hurdles beginning the running events at 11 a.m.
With other athletic events taking place Friday evening, track fans are encouraged to enter campus off Douglas road from the north and park in the library parking lot.
The Alex Wilson will be one of the last indoor meets in the country for student-athletes to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
The Irish, who have taken two weeks off since the BIG EAST Championships, have already had several athletes set NCAA automatic and provisional qualifying marks.
Complete results will be available at www.und.com following each day of the meet.
