Irish To Host 5v5 Tournament and Clinic

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Lacrosse is America’s fastest growing sport and the coaching staff and student-athletes at one of the country’s top programs are ready to teach you all about it as Notre Dame women’s lacrosse hosts a shooting and defensive clinic followed by a five-on-five championship style tournament on Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Loftus Sports Center. The event will begin at 10 a.m.

Participants can sign up individually or as a team. Notre Dame head coach Christine Halfpenny will open the day with an introduction while assistant coaches Sarah Dalton and Katie Powell will run stick work, shooting and other demonstrations. Games will begin at 11:30 a.m. and run until a champion is crowned at 3:00 p.m.

Registration is available either as a team or as an individual. For a team, there is a limit of eight players (including the goalie) and the cost is $75 per player. Single players will be put on house teams for a cost of $100 per player.

The deadline to register is February 7.
