Irish to Feature on ESPNU Five Times in Upcoming Season

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame men’s lacrosse team will have nine of its 11 regular season games be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks, with five set to air on ESPNU. Notre Dame’s five games on ESPNU are the most of any team in the country.

Saturday’s season opener, the Patriot Cup in Frisco, Texas against Georgetown, will be broadcast live on ESPNU at 2 p.m. inside the Ford Center at The Star, which is the Dallas Cowboys newly constructed $1.5 billion facility. Quint Kessenich (play-by-play), Paul Carcaterra (analyst) and Sheehan Stanwick-Burch (sidelines) will be on the call for the contest.

Other Irish games to air nationally on ESPNU come against Virginia (3/18 at 6 p.m.), Syracuse (4/1 at noon), Duke (4/8 at noon) and North Carolina (4/22 at noon).

The Irish will have four games picked up by ACC Network Extra/WatchESPN. Those contests include matchups against Michigan (2/26 at 2 p.m.), Maryland (3/4 at noon), Ohio State (3/25 at 2 p.m.) and Marquette (4/11 at a time TBA).

Notre Dame’s game at Denver on March 12 at 3 p.m. is scheduled to be broadcast on Altitude TV.

The Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament on April 28 and 30 will have all three of its games air on ESPNU.
