VERO BEACH, Fla. – The Notre Dame men’s golf team will compete in its fifth and final tournament of the fall season on Monday, Oct. 23, when the Irish challenge for the Quail Valley Intercollegiate title. The two-day, three-round event, takes place at the Quail Valley Golf Club (Par 72, 7,350 yards) at Vero Beach, Florida, hosted by McNeese State. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.

THE FIELD
No. 42 Notre Dame, No. 37 Louisville, McNeese State, Middle Tennessee, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Jacksonville, South Florida, Maryland, Cincinnati, ULM, Memphis, Nebraska, Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss.

THE FIGHTING IRISH FIVE
Ben Albin, Miguel Delgado, Kevin Conners, Hunter Ostrom and Davis Chatfield will once again represent the Fighting Irish.

Delgado is coming off the best showing of his career, coming in second place at the AutoTrader Collegiate Classic after shooting a 209. The seven-under par outing tied for the fourth best 54-hole score in program history.

Albin (72.0), Chatfield (72.3) and Ostrom (72.5) are all averaging around 72 strokes per round, and all boast at least one top-five finish this fall. Meanwhile Conners is averaging 73.3 strokes per round, including a low round of 70 set last week at the AutoTrader Classic.

THE ROAD HERE
As a team, the Irish have placed no worse than sixth place in the four tournaments this fall, including a third place showing at AutoTrader Classic and a first-place finish at home for the Fighting Irish Classic.

Notre Dame is averaging 284.5 strokes per round and is 18-under par overall. Their best outing on a par-72 this fall came at the Badger Invitational where they carded an 850 (-14).
