KEY SERIES – Notre Dame (19-8, 5-1 BIG EAST) returns to the road for the fifth roadtrip (spanning six weekends) in seven weeks of play this season, with a series at South Florida (14-16, 5-4) … the Irish are riding a nine-game winning streak and have gone 17-3 since a challenging first two weeks of the season (2-5) … St. John’s (6-0) leads the BIG EAST, followed by ND and West Virginia (both 5-1), UConn (6-3), Louisville (4-2) and USF … the Irish will return to Eck Stadium next week for a 12-game homestand … ND’s weekend rotation is set to include junior RHPs Jeff Samardzija (April 6; 7:00 EDT) and Jeff Manship (April 8; noon), with senior LHP Tom Thornton pitching the middle game (April 7; 1:00).
