NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame men’s lacrosse coaching staff will conduct its third annual National Coaches Clinic Feb. 2-3. The clinic will take place on the University’s campus and will cover all facets of the game.
The clinic has attracted coaches from over 12 states across all levels (youth, high school, travel team & MCLA). Coaches wishing to attend this year’s clinic can register and view the event schedule at irishlaxcamps.com.Register now because the clinic has reached capacity each of its first two years. The cost is $25 per coach with lunch, drill books and a Notre Dame lacrosse t-shirt included in the fee.
Along with on-the-field instruction, the popular clinic also includes valuable insight into practice planning, film sessions, nutrition and strength and conditioning of the Notre Dame program, which has advanced to the national semifinals twice in the last three seasons. Additionally, the coaches attending the clinic will be able to watch a Notre Dame practice and exhibition contest versus the University of Detroit (Feb. 2) from the sidelines.
The clinic will feature a film session covering Notre Dame’s scrimmages against the U.S. National Team and Jacksonville University from the previous weekend’s Champions Challenge in Orlando, Fla. The film session will include positional film on defense, offense, ride/clear and special situations followed by a question-and-answer session with the Irish staff.
“We are excited to host our annual coaches clinic again this year, and particularly to be able to include both a live scrimmage and a practice in the program,” Notre Dame head coach Kevin Corrigan said. “We love the chance to work with coaches at all levels and look forward to sharing ideas with them.”
Representatives from Cascade and Maverik will be in attendance, including all-MLL goalie Drew Adams, who will be assisting in goalie instruction. Cascade and Maverik will host a social for the coaches following Notre Dame’s scrimmage against Detroit.
