STORRS, Conn.- The University of Notre Dame’s softball team (20-14, 9-1 BIG EAST) has had its scheduled doubleheader against Connecticut (15-17, 4-7 BIG EAST) postponed until a later date. The game was scheduled for Sunday, April 15 starting at 10 a.m. but inclement weather on the East Coast has caused the delay. There has not yet been a makeup date announced for the games.
Notre Dame now returns home for a full slate of games. The Irish will start the week with a doubleheader against Western Michigan (13-13) on April 17 at 3 p.m. The next day, April 18, will bring in Ball State (15-23) for a single game at 5 p.m. The following day, April 19, is a rescheduled game against Valparaiso (19-10) at 5 p.m.. Notre Dame will concluded the week with a pair of weekend conference doubleheaders against Louisville (25-16, 7-1 BIG EAST) and South Florida (32-19, 4-3 BIG EAST) with both sets of games starting at noon. The first of the South Florida games will be shown by CSTV.
