April 12, 2007

NOTRE DAME, Ind.- The University of Notre Dame softball’s team (19-13, 8-0 BIG EAST), in what has now become an all too familiar theme, have had to reschedule its doubleheader against conference rival No. 18/14 DePaul (25-7, 8-0 BIG EAST) due to weather issues. The games will now be played on Sunday, April 29, at 1 p.m. (ET) at Cacciatore Stadium in Chicago. This is the second time this season that a severe weather system has forced the teams to reschedule the conference doubleheader.

The Irish will now travel to the East Coast in hopes of playing doubleheaders against conference rivals Providence (April 14) and Connecticut (April 15). The games against Providence are set to begin at noon, while the UConn games are starting at 11 a.m.
