2012 November Clinic Waiver Get Acrobat Reader

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame softball team will host a one-day clinic Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the indoor batting cages at the Frank Eck Baseball Stadium.

Head coach Deanna Gumpf, associate coaches Kris Ganeff and Lizzy Lemire, and select Notre Dame players will lead each of the three clinic sessions. Each session is $75 per player, and players can sign up for one, two or all three instructional periods.

“The Musts of Hitting” offensive session is scheduled to run from 9-11 a.m. Fighting Irish coaches and players will discuss the key points and fundamentals of an effective swing. *Limited to 40 players.

“Advanced Pitching and Catching” is a defensive session designed for players in eighth grade and up, and will run from 11:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Pitchers and catchers will learn the fundamentals and dynamics of being a high-level defensive player, drills to reinforce skills, and the study of pitch development. *Limited to 20 pitchers and catchers.

The final session of the day, “Getting More Power Out of Your Swing”, will run from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., and focus on the necessary mechanics that are critical to developing a more powerful and efficient swing. Hitters will take part in drills that allow them to use their body more effectively and translate it into power at the plate. *Limited to 40 players.
