NOTRE DAME, Ind. – A digital channel housed within the ESPN family of networks is set to provide Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) affiliate members with expanded broadcast coverage across all sports during the 2016-17 academic year.

ACC Network Extra, the first step of an ongoing partnership between the conference and ESPN that will lead to the release of a linear ACC Network in 2019, will be the exclusive home of more than 330 live streamed events this fall alone. The University of Notre Dame men’s soccer team will be a direct beneficiary of this new venture, as a total of 13 of 17 Notre Dame matches in the 2016 regular season will be available via ACC Network Extra or the Regional Sports Network (RSN).

All nine scheduled 2016 Irish home matches, including Notre Dame contests at this weekend’s Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament at Alumni Stadium, will be streamed live via the ACC Network Extra platform. Each of the four Irish road trips within the conference later this year will also be available through the ACC streaming service or RSN (Duke, Oct. 21).

In addition, Notre Dame’s match against defending NCAA champion Stanford on Sept. 2 at the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic in Bloomington will be streamed via BTN2Go, the digital home of the Big Ten Network. The Irish showdown at Michigan on Oct. 11 has been slotted for broadcast on BTN Plus.
