NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame soccer programs will close out their spring seasons in their traditional fashion Friday, facing off against a pair of Mexico national teams at Alumni Stadium.
Both the Fighting Irish men and women will compete in spring friendlies with the Mexico, with the women’s match against the U-20s slated for 5 p.m. ET, followed by the men’s match against the U-18s at 7:30 p.m. ET. Both contests will stream live on WatchESPN.
The match will feature a reunion between Irish senior-to-be Monica Flores and her former national team. Flores graduated from Mexico’s U-20 system following the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea and has since been invited into camp with the full women’s national squad.
The match will close out the spring slate for the Irish women, who have compiled a 3-1-1 record to this point. Notre Dame has won its last two spring matches, defeating the Puerto Rico Women’s National Team 12-0 and Marquette 3-1.
