Irish Set to Host Duke Blue Devils

SETTING THE STAGE 

• Notre Dame is back at home after three games on the road as they host the Duke Blue Devils on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 1:00 p.m. in Purcell Pavilion. 

• The game this week will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra. w

• Junior Hattie Monson has reached the 1,000 career digs mark and will be honored on Sunday against Duke in prior to the match. 

HISTORY VS. DUKE

• This will be the 21st meeting between the Fighting Irish and Duke Blue Devils with both teams looking to take the series lead as it’s tied at 10-10 currently.

The Irish lost the last matchup on Oct. 29, 2021, where Notre Dame fell in five sets on the road (22-25, 25-22, 25-17, 22-25, 10-15). 

• Prior to last year’s loss, the Irish won three straight against Duke, but Notre Dame’s longest winning streak was from 1988-2006, where the Irish won five straight against the Blue Devils.
