Notre Dame, Ind. – The No. 16-ranked Notre Dame rowing team travels to Redwood Shores, Calif., to take part in the 2007 Windermere Real Estate Rowing Classic, one of the nation’s top collegiate rowing events. The two-day event will be held Sat.-Sun., April 14-15.
Irish fans can follow the live race results at www.jamcotimes.com. Notre Dame’s varsity, eight, second varsity eight, varsity four and novice eight boats will be competing in the competition.
The Irish will race No. 5 California on Saturday morning and No. 7 Stanford on Saturday afternoon and then will go up against No. 8 UCLA on Sunday morning.
All times listed are local to site (Pacific time). Results following each of the competitions will be posted on www.und.com following each session of racing.
Notre Dame lineups for the weekend:
Varsity eight: Maria Romano (coxswain), Lauren Buck, Meghan Boyle, Christine Trezza, Allison Marsh, Laura Pearson, Mary Quinn, Amanda Polk and Julie Sobolewski.
Second varsity eight: Eileen Froehlke (coxswain), Sarah Kate Hafner, Casey Fairbanks, Kristan Madison, Lindsay McQuaid, Ankica Jedry, Elli Greybar, Brittney Kelly and Jessica Guzik.
Third varsity eight: Christina Padayhag (coxswain), Bridget Leone, Alyssa Teves, Kaitlin Jackson, Brittany Burnham, Mary Kate McNamara, Laura Petnuch and Erica Copeland.
Varsity Four: Sarah Keithley (coxswain), Laura Petnuch, Anni Nowhitney, Shannon Cassel and Mary Kate McNamara.
Novice Eight: AZ Tice (coxswain), Lisa Bunn, Emily Backer, Melissa Miller, Kathleen Donahue, Dana Gates, Casey Robinson and Kellyn Nestor.
