NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Irish are back on the road as three members of the team are set to compete at the NCAA Individual Championships in Orlando, Florida this week (May 20-25). Senior Alex Lebedev kicks off the tournament, held at the USTA National Campus, at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 20 in the first round of singles before sophomore duo of Richard Ciamarra and Tristan McCormick get underway with the doubles competition on Tuesday, May 21.
Lebedev, who ranked No. 35 in singles notched his spot in the championship tournament, posting a 15-9 record through the 2018-19 season. He will take on No. 22 Jack Lin of Columbia in the round of 64.
Ciamarra and McCormick will play No. 50 San Diego’s Joel Gamerov and August Holmgren. The duo who rank No. 27 in doubles went 12-5 while playing together, including three wins over top-50 ranked pairs. The two teams will face off on Tuesday in the round of 32.
