PRINCETON, N.J. – The 2022-23 non-conference schedule for the Notre Dame men’s basketball team continues to come together as the field for the 10th Gotham Classic was announced. The Irish are making their third appearance in the Gotham Classic, previously competing in both 2013 and 2018.
The Fighting Irish will first play two games inside Purcell Pavilion, starting with Southern Indiana on Nov. 16, followed by Bowling Green on Nov. 22. Notre Dame then heads to UBS Arena at Belmont Park for the Gotham Classic Showcase Game against St. Bonaventure on Nov. 25.
It’s been 28 years since Notre Dame and St. Bonaventure have clashed on the hardwood, with the Irish boasting a 5-2 series lead. It dates back even longer for Bowling Green – Feb. 14 in 1972. The lead there is 5-2 as well. Lastly, ND and Southern Indiana have never met.
