Irish Rowing Posts Perfect APR Score

SOUTH BEND, Ind.  – The University of Notre Dame rowing team posted a perfect Academic Progress Rate (APR) of 1,000 in the most recent set of data released earlier this month by the NCAA.

The Fighting Irish had a 1,000 for the fourth time since the APR was first released, having also done so in 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10.

Notre Dame rowing has posted at least a 992 in each of the 16 sets of APR data releases, with an impressive average of 997.

The APR was created in 2003 to measure the academic progress of student-athletes through a team-based metric that accounts for the eligibility and retention of each student-athlete for each academic term. Programs are also rewarded for students who return to school to complete their degrees.
