Irish Return Home For Two Saturday Matches

March 30, 2012

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – After almost a month away from home, the No. 41 Notre Dame men’s tennis team returns to Courtney Tennis Center on Saturday for its first outdoor home matches of the season as it welcomes in Ball State and St. Bonaventure for a doubleheader.

The Irish meet the Cardinals at 11 a.m., which is two hours earlier from the previously announced 1 p.m. start. After the women’s team faces off with DePaul at 2 p.m., the men’s team closes out the day with St. Bonaventure at 6 p.m.

Notre Dame (12-7) has only played one match since March 4 after playing 18 matches in a little under two months to open the season. The Irish dropped a tight 4-3 affair to BIG EAST rival South Florida on March 17. Before the spring break trip to Florida, they defeated No. 58 Maryland, 5-2, on March 4 at Eck Tennis Center.

Both matches can be followed via live results, with links provided on UND.com.
