Notre Dame, Ind. – For the third consecutive week, the Notre Dame women’s rowing team is ranked 17th in the USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll.

Ohio State, which earned 17 first-place votes, held down the top spot for the fourth consecutive week. The Buckeyes were followed by California, Princeton, Btown, Harvard, Virginia, Michigan State, Washington, Yale and Michigan.

Tennessee led off the second half of the poll, followed by Washington State, Wisconsin, Cornell, Boston University, Southern California, NOTRE DAME, Syracuse, Masschusetts and Texas.

The Irish will row twice this weekend when they will face Boston University (ranked 15th) and Northeastern in a tri-meet regatta in Boston, Mass., on Saturday morning, April 24 and then will travel to Worcester, Mass., on Sunday, April 25 for the fourth annual BIG EAST Women’s Rowing Challenge on Lake Quinsigamond. Notre Dame has finished second to Syracuse (ranked 18th) in the event each of the last three years.
