Irish Open Fall Slate with Bayliss and Milwaukee Invitationals

The Notre Dame Men’s Tennis program opened the fall slate of competition with showings at both the Bobby Bayliss Invitational and the Milwaukee Classic.

In Milwaukee, Axel Nefve and Richard Ciamarra record victories in the season-opening competition. Nefve defeated Navy’s Greg Durham, 6-7, 6-3, 6-1. Then, Richard Ciamarra downed Zhe Zhou from Alabama, 6-2, 6-2.

The Irish also hosted the Bobby Bayliss Invitational at the Eck Tennis Center, where the Irish recorded eight victories on the day. In singles play, Andrew Mariados, Paul Gota, Connor Fu, and Johnathan Small earned victories, while, on the doubles side, Ho & Halpin earned two wins as a duo, while Mariados & Somers and Gota & Somers also earned victories.

Day 2 of both competitions continues as play resumes Saturday and Sunday.
