Irish Host Wildcats In Home Opener

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The 14th-ranked University of Notre Dame hockey team open their home slate of competition this Friday and Sunday with a series against Northern Michigan University. The Irish are set to host the Wildcats in game one of the series at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14. The two teams round out the season series with a 5 p.m. tilt on Sunday, Oct. 16.

The University’s clear bag policy will be in effect for both home contests.

NOTRE DAME vs. NORTHERN MICHIGAN

  • Last season the Irish traveled to Marquette, Michigan, where they took a 5-2 victory with goals from current Irish skaters Landon Slaggert, Trevor Janicke and Ryder Rolston.
  • Jack Adams, Jake Boltmann, Justin Janicke and Grant Silianoff also had points in the contest.
  • All-time, the Irish hold a 25-21-8- record over the Wildcats and are 12-11-4 on home ice.
