NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame fencing team welcomes defending NCAA Champion Ohio State to the strip Saturday for a pair of exhibition matches at the brand new Castellan Family Fencing Center.
The Fighting Irish men’s team will host the Buckeyes at 12:30 p.m., with the women’s exhibition match slated for a 5:30 p.m. start. Each match will be conducted in a modified relay format with 12 bouts, four in each weapon. Two competitors per team will fence two bouts in each weapon, with five-touch “laps” and three-minute maximum time limits.
