Notre Dame hockey will appear on CBS College Sports five times during the 2008-09 season.

Irish Hockey To Make Nine Television Appearances During 2008-09 Season.

Notre Dame, Ind. – Fans of Notre Dame hockey will be able to catch the Irish in action on television nine times during the regular season highlighted by five appearances on CBS College Sports, two on FSN-Detroit and two on Comcast.

Notre Dame will appear on television twice in the first half of the season and seven other times during the second half. From January 30 until the end of the regular season, the Irish will be on TV at least once every week with two appearances in the home and home series with Michigan and Michigan State.

The television schedule opens up with a 7:05 p.m. game on Saturday, November 29 when the Irish play host to Western Michigan at the Joyce Center. Comcast will handle the broadcasting duties for that game.

Comcast also will televise the Saturday, Dec. 13 game at home with Bowling Green. That contest also has a 7:05 p.m. starting time.

CBS College Sports will televise its first of five games on Friday, Jan. 30 when Notre Dame plays host to Michigan at the Joyce Center. Originally a 7:35 p.m. game, this will now move to 8:05 p.m. for the televised contest.

Notre Dame also will appear on CBS College Sports on Feb. 6 (at Ohio State), Feb. 13 (home with Northern Michigan), Feb. 20 (at Nebraska-Omaha) and Friday, Feb. 27 (home with Michigan State). The CBS College Sports games will all start at 8:05 p.m. EST, except for the Feb. 27 game that will have a 7:05 p.m. starting time.

The Irish will have two games appear on Fox Sports Detroit during the `08-’09 campaign. The Notre Dame-Michigan game on Saturday, Jan. 31 at Yost Arena will mark the first Fox appearance for the Irish. That game has a 7:35 p.m. starting time. Notre Dame will close out the regular season at Michigan State on Feb. 28 in a game that will start at 5:05 p.m. as part of a college hockey-Detroit Red Wings doubleheader.

In all, college hockey fans will have the chance to catch 60 CCHA games during the 2008-09 regular season and postseason. Games can be seen live on FSN-Detroit, CBS College Sports, Comcast, ESPNU and the Big 10 Network during the season. Check out the CCHA website at ccha.com for a complete schedule.

NOTRE DAME SCHEDULE CHANGE: Notre Dame’s weekend series at Ohio State in February has had a change. Originally a Friday-Saturday series (Feb. 6-7), the second game will now be played on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 2:05 p.m. at the Value City Arena.
