Notre Dame, Ind. – The Notre Dame hockey team will open the 2004 CCHA playoffs at home next weekend, March 12-14 at the Joyce Center. Tickets are on sale now at the Joyce Center box office or by phone at 574-631-7356.
The Irish clinched the final home ice spot in the best-of-three first round on the basis of Western Michigan’s 6-4 loss to Bowling Green on Thursday night in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Notre Dame plays host to Western Michigan in the first round of the CCHA playoffs. This is the first time since the 1999-2000 season that ND has hosted a CCHA playoff series.
Tickets are $13.00 and $11.00 for adults and $7.00 and $6.00 for youth and senior citizens, depending on location in the Joyce Center. Admission for students at CCHA institutions is $3.00.
Game times are set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, and 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 14 if necessary.
The winner of the first round series will advance to the CCHA’s Super Six that will be held at Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena from March 18-20.
