NOTRE DAME, Ind. — After an undefeated 2-0 start last weekend, the University of Notre Dame women’s tennis team will travel to Evanston, Ill., for ITA Kick-Off Weekend. The Irish face off against Arizona State tomorrow at 3 p.m. and will play either Northwestern or Oklahoma State on Sunday.
No. 21 Notre Dame is 0-3 against No. 26 Arizona State in their all-time series. The Sun Devils also come into the match 2-0 after beating Northern Arizona twice last Saturday.
In their all-time series, the Irish are 11-29 against No. 15 Northwestern. The Wildcats are 2-1 after last weekend’s Wildcat Winter Duals, losing to Alabama but beating DePaul and Iowa. Notre Dame is also 2-0 against No. 29 Oklahoma State in their all-time series.
Head coach Jay Louderback will continue to experiment with his doubles teams in preparation for the start of ACC matches next month. Notre Dame’s conference play will start Feb. 21 against opponent Georgia Tech.
