Irish Have Three Named to All-ACC Academic Team

ACC Release

NOTRE DAME, Indiana — The University of Notre Dame women’s soccer team had three student-athletes named to the All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced on Tuesday. Junior Eva Hurm, senior Brooke Littman and graduate student Shannon Hendricks all earned the honor after having successful seasons on and off the field. This is the second academic honor for the trio after being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team back in November.

Hurm, a design major, hails from Upper Saddle River, New Jersey and she led the Irish forwards with 19 starts this season. Hurm was second on the squad with career-highs in goals (5), points (13) while leading the team in game-winning goals (3). She tallied her second career brace in the 4-0 win over Northwestern with her first goal coming straight from the corner kick. She also scored the only goal in the 1-0 road win over Oakland and the first goal in the 3-0 win over Syracuse.

Littman is majoring in pre-health along with film, television and theatre and had a breakout year in her senior season with the Irish. She has set career marks in games played (13), minutes (1,230) and shutouts (6) while posting a 7-4-2 record on the year. Littman has allowed one goal or less in eight games this season and the Irish were 6-0-2 in those games.

Hendricks got her undergraduate degree in business analytics and a minor in catholic social traditions back in May and is currently in the Accelerated MBA program in grad school. She was a constant for the Irish on the back line and started in 73 consecutive games dating back to 2016 to end her career. Hendricks had the initial shot that led to the game-winning own goal against Wake Forest in the regular season finale to lift the Irish to the ACC Tournament.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
