NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Dennis Moynihan, an intern in the Notre Dame football office two of the last three seasons, has joined the Irish football staff as a graduate assistant coach.

Moynihan replaces Taver Johnson, who accepted an assistant coaching position at Miami of Ohio.

Moynihan has worked extensively in the recruiting administration area during his two tours of duty at Notre Dame.

He served as an assistant football coach at Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I., during the 1998 season and previously served as an assistant football coach at Connecticut from ’93 through ’95.

A member of the football squad at Connecticut from 1989-92, he’s a ’93 University of Connecticut graduate. He was born Sept. 8, 1971, in South Windsor, Conn.
