Irish Fall in Friday Matchup at Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — No. 33 Notre Dame Men’s Tennis fell to Florida State in an ACC road match. The Irish move to 9-8 on the year, including 3-4 in conference play.

The Irish dropped the doubles point to two top-75 Seminole duos and headed to singles play with the 1-0 deficit. 

In singles play, No. 91 Axel Nefve battled Alex Knaff to a three-set victory — 6-3, 4-6, 6-0,  to claim the Irish point in the match.

Next Up

After Sunday’s match at Miami was cancelled due to COVID issues within the Hurricanes’ program, the Ihe Irish will return home to host Louisville on April 3 at 1 p.m. ET.
