Irish Earn United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

NOTRE DAME, Indiana – The University of Notre Dame women’s soccer team was honored for their academic work when it earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award Thursday afternoon.

The Irish earned the award for the 14th time in program history and the eighth time in the last 10 years. Notre Dame was one of 255 schools that had both the women’s and the men’s team earn the Team Academic Award. To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible and the Irish finished the 2018-19 academic year with a 3.239 team GPA.

Notre Dame will be back in action Friday night at Alumni Stadium when they host the Syracuse Orange. First touch is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
