TULSA, Okla. — It was a productive day for University of Notre Dame men’s tennis seniors Josh Hagar and Eddy Covalschi on Tuesday at the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships. The pair earned a slot in the doubles main draw, while Hagar also advanced to the main singles bracket after three rounds of qualifying play.

The top seed in the qualifying bracket, 26th-ranked Covalschi and Hagar needed a second effort to get past Denver’s No. 42 Alex Gasson and Yannik James. After dropping the first set 6-4, the Irish duo bounced back to solidify a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0(4) victory to play their way into a Thursday match.
