TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Fighting Irish women’s golf team shot a final round 303 (+15) at the 2017 Florida State Match-Up to finish 12th (315-298-303-916) at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course (Par 72/6,260 yards).

Sophomore Emma Albrecht led Notre Dame by tying for 22nd (74-72-73-219) in the 66-player field.

“We’re disappointed in the final result as it is not what we are accustomed to,” said Notre Dame head coach Susan Holt. “Emma played three solid rounds but we just did not get any consistent play from the rest of the team. We now have a few weeks to regroup and get ready to be much more competitive at our next event.”

Florida State (282-276-279-837) held onto its second round lead to claim the team championship, while Florida State’s Morgane Metraux shot a 68 in the final round to earn medalist honors (70-67-68-205).

Leading The Irish Lineup

Albrecht was consistent from start to finish at the Florida State match-up and carded a final round 73. Her one-over par showing on Sunday included two birdies, 13 pars and three bogeys as she tied for 22nd.

Albrecht totaled 37 pars over the three rounds of play, which tied for the fifth-highest total in the field. She also played the par-5’s at a five-under par clip, which tied for 13th-best in the field.

Isabella DiLisio, also a sophomore, matched Albrecht’s final round 73. DiLisio’s final round included three birdies, 12 pars and three bogeys.
