GENEVA, Ohio -The University of Notre Dame track & field program wrapped up competition Saturday at the SPIRE DI Invitational.
The Irish women’s 4×400-meter relay team of Amber Lalla, Jordan Shead, Payton Miller and Margaret Bamgbose highlighted the day for Notre Dame. The quartet finished second in the race with a time of 3:39.15.
Jade Barber notched a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles finals and also finished seventh in the finals of the 60 meter dash.
Emily Morris placed third in the shot put with a throw of 14.76m.
In the men’s heptathlon, Drake Stimson won the 1,000 meter run, but took fifth in the final points tally.
The Irish return to action next week when they host the Alex Wilson Invitational on Saturday. It will be the final meet of the season before the Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Championships in Blacksburg, Virginia, February 26-28.
