Irish Complete Clover Cup Competition

March 19, 2017

MESA, Ariz. – The Fighting Irish women’s golf capped the 2017 edition of the Clover Cup with a final round 298 (+10) to finish the tournament in seventh place (887, +23) at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.

Sophomore sensations Emma Albrecht & Isabella DiLisio led the Irish on the scorecards, completing the event with three-day totals of 219 (T16) and 220 (T21), respectively.

No other school had more eagles on the weekend than DiLisio as she rolled in two eagles throughout the course of the tournament, both coming from her flat stick during her scorching opening round 67.

The lone senior counting for the team score, Jordan Ferreira, continued her steady play through all three rounds en route to a 223 total (T34).

Talented freshman Mia Ayer turned in three “counting” scores during her +11 (T46) effort – joining Albrecht & Ferreira with “counting” all their rounds towards the overall team score.

Maddie Rose Hamilton bounced back from a tough first day with four birdies in the final two rounds of the tournament to finish at +14 (T57).
