Irish Compete at 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays

AUSTIN, TX. – The University of Notre Dame track and field team traveled to the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at the University of Texas over the weekend. The throwing unit for the Fighting Irish traveled and competed in discus, shot put, javelin, and hammer throw.

 

Rachel Tanczos threw in the hammer throw for a mark of 53.25m. She also competed in the discus throw where she threw for 47.85m. Teammate Gabe Diederich competed in the javelin throw where she took first place with a mark of 49.27m, and set a new school record.

 

On the men’s side, Michael Shoaf threw in the men’s shot put where he hit a mark of 17.78m.  Austin Parsons took on the javelin throw where he threw for 65.78m. John Keenan also threw javelin at the meet. He threw for a mark of 64.64m.  John Stefan represented the Irish in the shot put. He tossed for a mark of 16.83m.
