ATLANTA, Ga. — The University of Notre Dame women’s swimming team wrapped up the 2022 Women’s NCAA Championships on Saturday at the McAuley Aquatic Center. The Irish finished the championships 31st overall with six points.

Senior Luciana Thomas got in the pool one last time for the Fighting Irish as she competed in her second event of the championships. She placed 19th overall in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:55.12. She finished 26th overall in the 500 freestyle on Thursday with a personal-best time of 4:43.32.

Up Next

The Irish men’s team will make the trip down to Atlanta for the swimming and diving championships next week. The men’s competition begins on Wednesday, March 23 and conclude on Saturday, March 27. A total of three Irish individual swimmers and four relays have qualified for the men’s national meet.
