History vs. Atlantic Sun Conference

Notre Dame and Kennesaw State will face off for the first time in program history on Thursday.

The Irish are 3-0 all-time against the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN). Notre Dame is 2-0 against Detroit Mercy and 1-0 versus Jacksonville. Notre Dame has played one game versus the ASUN this season, coming in the form of a 24-9 victory over Detroit Mercy on Feb. 11 at Loftus Sports Center.

Rare Unranked Foe

Notre Dame has opposed seven nationally-ranked teams this season, including three non-conference teams — Northwestern, Princeton and Towson. The Irish are 3-4 against ranked opponents in 2017.

With just three regular-season games remaining, Notre Dame will face the unranked Owls, followed by two ranked, ACC opponents in No. 20 Virginia Tech and No. 17 Boston College.

Giacolone Keeping Busy

Sophomore goalkeeper Samantha Giacolone collected a career-high 18 saves against No. 2 North Carolina on Sunday. Giacolone had 11 second-half saves.

The Manorville, New York, native previously had tallied a career-high-tying 13 saves in Notre Dame’s 16-7 win over No. 2 Syracuse on March 26. She was named IWLCA National Player of the Week and ACC Player of the Week following her performance versus the Orange.
