EUGENE, Ore. — The University of Notre Dame track and field teams wrapped up their 2014 NCAA Outdoor Tack and Field Championships appearance on Saturday with junior Emily Morris finishing 22nd in the nation in the women’s shot put with a throw of 15.15m.

Notre Dame had a successful week in Eugene, with four Irish athletes earning first team All-American honors and three Notre Dame school records falling. Senior Alexa Aragon broke her own school record in the women’s 3,000m steeplechase, senior Michelle Brown and sophomore Margaret Bamgbose both broke the record in the women’s 400m dash with Brown’s time of 51.70 setting a school record, and the men’s 4×400 relay team shaved one tenth of a second of the previous Notre Dame record.

With eight points, the women finish the season with a 32nd place finish at the NCAAs, while the men finished in 64th.
