Irish Announce Five Swimming And Diving Signees For 2013-14

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame women’s swimming and diving program signed five high school senior student-athletes to letters of intent for the 2013-14 season, head coach Brian Barnes announced recently.

The class of 2017 includes Molly Barry, Katelyn Miller, Danielle Margheret, Catherine Mulquin and Christine Stitcher.

“We are excited to welcome the class of 2017 to Notre Dame this fall,” said head coach Brian Barnes. “This is a well-balanced class, with many swimming and diving disciplines represented. We have also found student-athletes from all over the country. Our hope is that they will be very good for Notre Dame and that Notre Dame will be very good for them. I’m anxious to watch them develop over for years and watch them take advantage of all the wonderful things this school has to offer.”

Notre Dame (3-4) closes out the home portion of its schedule this weekend when it welcomes in Towson for the Shamrock Invitational. Action gets underway Friday at 5 p.m. and on Saturday at 11 a.m.
