The 5th-ranked Notre Dame women’s soccer team (6-1-0, 1-0-0 BIG EAST) continues its week-four homestand on Sunday, Sept. 18, with the annual game vs. Michigan (1:00 p.m. EST) … the game will be telecast by Comcast Detroit on a delayed basis on Thursday, Sept. 22 (throughout Michigan on Comcast Sports Net Detroit at 9:00 EDT, and in South Bend on Comcast Local/channel 3, at 8:00 EST/CDT), marking Notre Dame’s third TV broadcast of the 2005 season … Michigan (3-1-1) is ranked #20 in the Soccer Buzz poll and #22 in both the Soccer America poll and the Soccer Times secondary coaches poll … the Wolverines tied Kansas in their season opener (1-1), also topping Texas (3-2) and tying Texas A&M (1-1) … the Irish dropped a 2-1 game last week at No. 6 Santa Clara (1-2) before rebounding with a 4-1 win over Gonzaga and Friday night’s home win over DePaul (6-0) … Notre Dame leads the nation in scoring with 38 goals and 5.87 goals per game, after a big opening week at the Vermont Classic (11-1 vs. UNH, 6-0 vs. UVm) and week-2 wins at the ND Classic over a pair of teams ranked in the national polls (4-1 vs. #11 Florida, 6-0 vs. #25 Maryland) … the DePaul game was be the 400th in the 17-year history of ND women’s soccer (the Irish program has won 83.4% of its all-time games, at 325-58-17).
