NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame women’s soccer team announced on Wednesday that Class of 2022 goalkeeper Mattie Interian has signed with the Irish and will enroll in classes in January.

Interian was a three-year starter and two-time All-Area team member at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (Flintridge, California) before transferring to Halstrom Academy (Los Angeles, Calif.), where she graduated in December of 2017. The Pasadena, Calif., native capped her high school career with her third stint on a national roster, this time on the Under-17 United States Women’s National Team.

In addition to her high school accolades, Interian competed with ODP, which won the regional and national championships in back-to-back seasons (2016-17). Interian captained the club team her senior season.

Interian is the first member of her class to sign with Notre Dame. Spring signing day is scheduled for Feb. 7.
