EIGHT TEAMS ADVANCE TO ROUND OF 16

Saturday’s second-round action saw eight teams advance to the NCAA round of 16, including a pair of upsets on Notre Dame’s side of the bracket as Harvard won at Hartford (3-0) and Santa Clara won at 8th-seeded California (2-0).

Harvard will take on the ND-Michigan winner in the round of 16 (Nov. 17-19).

Other winners on Saturday included BYU (5-0 over Stanford), Virginia (6-1 over UNC Greensboro), Nebraska (4-0 over Richmond), Clemson (2-1 over Duke in overtime), UCLA (3-0 over USC) and Portland (2-1 over Arizona State).

Santa Clara next plays at BYU, with the winner of that game facing the Michigan/ND-Harvard winner in the quarterfinal round (Nov. 24-26).
