Irish To Return To The United Center

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Wisconsin Badgers will officially meet for a second consecutive season in Chicago, with their 2018-19 neutral site game slated to take place at 7:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Jan. 20 at the United Center.

Game one of that weekend series will remain in Madison on Friday, Jan. 18.

“We’re once again looking forward to returning to the United Center,” said head coach Jeff Jackson. “Giving our fans and alums a chance to see us play in Chicago, strengthening our bonds with the Blackhawks organization and providing our team another chance to play in an NHL arena are all reasons we feel fortunate to be able to return to the United Center.”

For Notre Dame, it will mark a third consecutive season playing at the United Center, having played in the 2017 Frozen Four in addition to last season’s contest versus the Badgers. Wisconsin won last season’s meeting to snap then top-ranked Notre Dame’s program-record 16-game winning streak.

The Irish and Badgers have played five neutral site games in series history, including games at the United Center, the Milwaukee Arena, the BMO Harris Bradley Center (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), Allstate Arena (Rosemont, Illinois) and the E.J. Nutter Center (Dayton, Ohio).

Presale tickets for the game will be available to University of Notre Dame season ticket holders and students beginning October 8. Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. CST on October 11 and can be purchased online at UnitedCenter.com, in person at the United Center Box Office or by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000.

The Irish open the 2018-19 season with a home exhibition game versus the USNTDP at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7. Notre Dame then heads to Erie, Pennsylvania for the 2018 Ice Breaker Tournament (Oct. 12-13). For tickets please contact the Murnane Family Ticket Office by calling 833-ND-IRISH or click here.
