Notre Dame and Alaska meet for the only time in the regular season this weekend at the Joyce Center. The two teams met twice in Fairbanks, Alaska last season splitting the series. All-time the two teams have met 51 times in the series with the Irish holding a 26-21-4 advantage. At the Joyce Center, Notre Dame leads the series 15-8-1. They are 10-1-1 against the Nanooks in the last 12 meetings, dating back to the 2006-07 season. Notre Dame is ranked eighth in the nation with a 14-7-3 overall record and is in first in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association with an 11-4-1-1 record, good for 35 points. Alaska is ranked 20th in the nation and is 9-7-4 overall with a 6-6-4-4 record in conference play, good for 26 points. Friday’s game starts at 7:35 p.m. and Saturday’s contest has a 7:05 p.m. start.
