Notre Dame and Bowling Green will meet for the fourth time this season on Saturday night with the Irish holding a 2-1-0 lead in the series. Notre Dame won Friday’s meeting, 2-1, as Anders Lee scored the game-winning goal with under four minutes left in the game. The two teams have met 94 times in the all-time series with Notre Dame holding a 50-36-8 advantage. At the Joyce Center, the Irish are 28-12-5 all-time and are 10-0-1 in the last 11 meetings, dating back to the 2004-05 season. The last time the Falcons won at Notre Dame came on Jan. 29, 2005 with a 6-2 victory. The Irish enter Saturday’s game back in first place in the CCHA with a 14-6-3-2 league record, good for 47 points. They lead second-place Michigan (46) and Miami (46) by one point in the standings. Notre Dame and Michigan each have two games in hand versus the RedHawks. Bowling Green is in last place in the conference as the Falcons are 8-20-3 overall and 3-17-3-1 in conference play.
