Four out of seven 2010 Notre Dame recruits attended the summer camp program at Notre Dame and 21 players on the 2009 roster were former campers. Three former campers and Notre Dame players developed into MLS Draft picks with one voted as the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy winner. Several former campers have also gone on to feature in other top programs across the country as well. The summer camps provide a great opportunity to be trained by the Notre Dame Staff and visit the Notre Dame campus.
The “Advanced” Camp for boys entering 6th – 8th grade is designed to train advanced players in a challenging and fun environment, players will receive quality and individualized instruction from high-level coaches.
The Elite Camps are designed for players looking to play at the college level. The Freshman/Sophomore “Elite” Camp I will challenge the top 150 field players entering 9th and 10th grade looking for early exposure to the college process. The Junior/Senior “Elite” Camp II will highlight the top 150 field players entering 11th and 12th grade preparing to play college soccer.
The Advanced and Elite Camps will also offer a Goalkeeper Program with specific goalkeeper training led by collegiate goalkeeper coaches and current University of Notre Dame goalkeepers. Three of the four 2010 goalkeepers for Notre Dame are also former campers.
The Notre Dame coaches and players staff the camps but what makes it special is that all the other head coaches are College Head Coaches or College Assistant Coaches, so players have a great opportunity to be seen by multiple coaches. The 2010 Elite Camp Staff has commitments from the following coaches: Jamie Clark, Harvard University, Johan Cedergren, Dartmouth College, Steve Simmons, Oregon State University, Kylie Stannard, Michigan State University, Ted Priestly, Holy Cross (MA), John O’Connor, University of Rhode Island, Michael Casper, St Francis University (PA), Mike Avery, Valparaiso University, Eric Luzzi, Northern Illinois University, Ben Pirmann, Western Michigan University, Chris Brown, Kenyon College, Fran O’Leary, Bowdoin College, Blake New, Oberlin College, Dustan Harley, Holy Cross (IN), Mark Bell, Cornerstone College-MI, Nate Norman, Covenant College (GA), and Chris Garcia-Prats, Luther College-IA.
If you are considering the University of Notre Dame or playing at the college level, the Notre Dame Boys Summer Camps will provide the best opportunity for you to develop towards the next level!
