NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame junior forward Luke Harangody (Schererville, Ind.) has been named to the BIG EAST men’s basketball weekly honor roll. Harangody averaged 25.5 points and 14.0 rebounds in wins over Louisville and South Florida last week.

Harangody notched 32 points and 17 rebounds in a 90-57 victory over fifth-ranked Louisville on Thursday, Feb. 12. That marked the fourth time this season that he has reached the 30-point plateau. On Sunday, the junior notched his 18th double-double of the season as he tallied 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 67-57 win against South Florida. Harangody has recorded a double-double in 13 of the past 14 games.

This is the fourth time this season that Harangody has been selected to the league’s honor roll. He also earned the distinction on Nov. 24, Dec. 15 and Jan. 5 in addition to being named the BIG EAST player of the week on Jan. 12.

Harangody, the BIG EAST preseason player of the year, leads Notre Dame by averaging 24.4 points and 12.7 rebounds this season. The Fighting Irish return to the court at West Virginia on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
