A message from Habitat for Humanity President and CEO Jim Williams
While the world has paused in many respects, Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County has not pressed pause on our mission. On the contrary, we are pressing forward. Our community needs us more than ever.
Despite the pandemic…
We are on schedule to build six houses by the end of this year and to rehab two more. We have five major home repairs to complete for veterans and five more for seniors.
The Vera Z. Dwyer Trust has stood with us during these challenging times and offered a $100,000 dollar for dollar match for this year’s Women Build. The future homeowner, a thirty year-old mother with three daughters, is already accepted into the program and enthusiastically working on her program requirements.
To reach fundraising goal we need…
5 people to donate $1,000
10 people to donate $500
60 people to donate $250
100 people to donate $100
600 people to donate $25
…or whatever you have the means to do.
I am more encouraged that ever at he generosity of our community and thank you in advance for your help in bringing people together to build homes, community and hope! Donate today, or join us May 5th for #GivingTuesdayNow.
With Gratitude,
Jim Williams
