Getting To Know … Wide Receiver Theo Riddick No. 6 * 5-11 * 198 * So. – Manville, N.J./Immaculata

Do-everything sophomore Theo Riddick will look to establish himself as one of the top receivers on the Irish roster in his first full season at his newly appointed position. In his freshman season, Riddick made a name for himself as a dangerous speed threat for Notre Dame, rushing for 160 yards, catching six balls for 43 yards and serving as the primary kick return man with 37 attempts for 849 yards. Riddick announced his arrival last season against Washington State, rushing nine times for 51 yards and catching three passes for an additional 24 yards. GameDay’s Kevin Paczesny gives Irish fans a chance to get to know Theo Riddick.

Paczesny: What is your major and why does it interest you?
Riddick: My major is sociology. I chose it because you can branch off into marketing and business in a sense.

Paczesny: What is your favorite place on Campus?

Paczesny: What TV show do you never miss?
Riddick: I would have to say the Jersey Shore.

Paczesny: If you had your own energy drink, what would it be called?
Riddick: “Chronicles of Riddick.”

Paczesny: If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to see play you in the lead role?
Riddick: I would hope it was Jonas Gray.

Paczesny: If you could make a dream foursome to play golf with, who would you include (living or dead)?
Riddick: I would choose Tiger Woods, Charles Barkley – because he is so horrible – and Armando Allen.

Paczesny: If you could have any superpower, what would you want?
Riddick: I would want to fly because it seems like the best thing to have; you can control your destination.

Paczesny: If you were not playing football, what sport would you be playing?
Riddick: I can’t see myself playing any other sport because I am not very good at any other ones.

Paczesny: Who has been most influential on your life and why?
Riddick: My mother because she was a single parent and she always pushed me to strive to do my best. I am the first person to go to college from my family so she has done a great job.

Paczesny: What song on your iPod would surprise people?
Riddick: I would have to say Miley Cyrus “Party in the U.S.A.”

Paczesny: If you could take three things with you on a deserted island, what would you take?
Riddick: I would take suntan lotion, water and an umbrella.

Paczesny: If you could trade places with any person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. Who would it be?
Riddick: I would swap with Lil Wayne because he is a rock star and he is the face of entertainment right now.

Paczesny: If Coach Kelly were not coaching, what would he be doing for a living?
Riddick: I think he would be a comedian because a lot of the things he says are very sarcastic.

Paczesny: What is your favorite video game of all-time?
Riddick: Super Smash Brothers on Nintendo 64.

Paczesny: Who is the best joker on the team?
Riddick: Jonas Gray hands down because he is hilarious. He just has that sense of humor about him.

Paczesny: What was the one thing that sold you on Notre Dame?
Riddick: The education that it offers. With playing Division I football, the competition is always going to be there but the difference is the degree.

Paczesny: What is your favorite nickname for a teammate?
Riddick: Jonas Gray and his nickname is “Meatball.”

Paczesny: Who is your favorite professor on campus and what class do they teach?
Riddick: I would have to say Nicole MacLaughlin, my English teacher.

Riddick: I would go back to high school playing football; I miss playing football with all my friends that I grew up with.

Paczesny: What was your best Halloween costume growing up?
Riddick: I had one costume called “Midnight Run.” It was all black. It was ridiculous and did not make any sense but everyone laughed at it.

Paczesny: Do you have any fears? If so what?
Riddick: I am scared of rollercoaster’s because of the height, speed and velocity. I am not really a big fan.

Paczesny: If you could have any job, outside of the NFL, what would it be?
Riddick: I would be a college coach because I think it is pretty cool that I am a student of the game now and you learn so much from your coaches.

Paczesny: If the Irish wide receivers had a theme song, what would it be?
Riddick: I would have to say “I’m Going In” by Lil Wayne.

Paczesny: What do you miss most about home?
Riddick: I miss my family because other than that I am just working.
