Notre Dame and Georgia Tech will be meeting for the 16th time on Sunday evening. Tech leads the all-time series 9-6, including a 62-60 last-second victory over the Irish on Jan. 28, 2017. Georgia Tech and Boston College are Notre Dame’s two dedicated repeat opponents each year in ACC competition.

For the 13th time in 17 seasons and 10th time in the past 11 seasons, Notre Dame has reached the 20-win mark for the year.

That matches the school record for 20-win seasons at Notre Dame with Digger Phelps, who posted 20 wins 13 times in his 20 years as head coach with the Irish.

Notre Dame’s victory at NC State on Feb. 18, 2017, pushed the program’s win record over the past three seasons to 77. The Irish already posted the best two-year stretch of victories last season, winning 56 combined games in 2014-15 and 2015-16.
