Karen Wesolek, who began working at the University of Notre Dame in 1981, is a senior staff assistant in the men’s basketball office.
Wesolek originally was a publication secretary in the sports information office when she arrived at Notre Dame in 1981. In 1991, Wesolek transferred to the men’s basketball office and worked with Digger Phelps, John MacLeod, Matt Doherty, and Mike Brey.
Wesolek is married to Jeff Wesolek and the couple has three children–Kobe who is 17 years old and a senior at South Bend Washington High School, Keegan who is 14 years old and a freshman at South Bend Washington High School, and Kassidy who is 8 years old and in third grade at Wilson Primary. In her spare time, Wesolek enjoys zumba, working in the garden and going to the beach with her family.
