Darin Ottaviani is in his ninth year with the athletic marketing staff at Notre Dame. Ottaviani oversees the marketing and promotions for the Fighting Irish hockey, men’s lacrosse and women’s lacrosse programs, and managed the marketing for volleyball through the 2014 season. He is also the secondary contact for football. In addition, he supervises the marketing student intern staff.
Ottaviani began working at Notre Dame in July of 2007 as sports promotions assistant where he served as the marketing contact for volleyball and softball, and assisted with men’s basketball.
Prior to joining the Notre Dame staff, Ottaviani spent the 2006-07 year as an athletic marketing assistant at Bowling Green State University and managed the marketing efforts for volleyball and softball. In 2005-06, he was an assistant equipment manager at Bowling Green, working with football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and volleyball.
In 2005, Ottaviani graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and communications. He served two years as a student manager with the Wolverine football program during back-to-back Big Ten Championship seasons. In 2011, he earned a master’s degree in education from Indiana University.
A native of Ellwood City, Pa., Ottaviani resides in South Bend, and serves on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association-Michiana Chapter.
